Community Service
The Community Services Committee embodies the true spirit of giving back, ensuring that the chapter continually contributes to the community at large by planning regular fund raising and service project events. Members and vendor partners donate time, subject matter expertise, and resources to a wide variety of non-profit organizations throughout the Chicago and the surrounding communities. Some of our past projects include:
- The Hellenic Museum Indexing Project
- Street-Level Youth Media Digital Media Indexing Project
- The Woodlawn Association Records Management Program Project
Other organizations that have benefited from donations collected during our 50/50 raffle and drives for goods/services include Sarahs Circle, The Chicago Food Depository, and the Chicago Book Depository.
The Community Services Committee is always looking for fresh ideas for small-scale service projects and organizations with which to share the proceeds from our raffles. If you have a project idea or are interested in serving on the committee, please contact the Community Services Chair for more information.

Membership
ARMA Chicago offers its members the opportunity to network with records and information managers, archivists, imaging specialists, librarians and vendors while sharing best practices and learning about the latest industry developments. The Membership Committee, working in cooperation with our Board Members, is responsible for increasing the number of individual and institutional members and ensuring the retention of these members through the offering of services that meet their needs. Whether we are making prospective and current members aware of the resources, services, and membership benefits or recommending ways to acknowledge new members and encourage participation in ARMA Chicago activities, our primary goals are to ensure that each member feels welcomed and develop methods to maximize the benefits for all of our members.
